Dr. Marie Jhin is a graduate of Wellesley College. She received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College.
She completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine from the New York Presbyterian Hospital receiving her
board certification in Internal Medicine. She continued her training as a resident and chief resident in dermatology at the
Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Dr. Jhin is a board certified dermatologist and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is a member of the American Society for MOHS Surgery, (ASMS), the American Society of Contact Dermatitis, the San Francisco Dermatological Society,
and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Jhin is an adjunct Clinical Instructor at Stanford University School of Medicine, as well as a staff member at the California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco and at Sequoia Hospital.

Dr. Jhin has appeared in several publications: O, The Oprah Magazine, Seventeen Magazine as well as Bay Area local news stations and TV shows.

Yelena Wapen PA-C was born in Russia. She attended the Moscow Medical School, received her MD degree, and completed
a residency in Internal Medicine. In 1996 she moved to the East Bay, attended the Stanford Assistant Physician Program, and graduated with a degree as a Physician Assistant – Certified (PA-C). She has worked exclusively in the field of Dermatology
since 2004 and is a fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a member of the California Academy of
Physician Assistants, and a member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. In addition, she has a keen interest
in the benefits of Complementary & Alternative Medicine and is prepared to offer advice regarding the use of supplements in
the management of dermatologic problems.

Yelena is married to Dr. Bruce Wapen, an Emergency Physician at the Mills-Peninsula Medical Center in Burlingame and
San Mateo. Together, they enjoy international travel and riding motorcycles, although their favorite pastime is to explore the wonders of their home state, California.

Gayla Forbes is a Registered Nurse who is also trained and certified to perform Laser Hair Removal, Thermage, Intense
Pulse Light, and Photodynamic Therapy. Gayla received her Registered Nursing degree from De Anza College in Cupertino, California in 1982.

Gayla's nursing experience includes the Veterans Hospital in Palo Alto and working for ABHOW in Los Altos which is a three
level senior care facility in which Gayla spent 20 years. She began working at Premier Dermatology in November of 2003 and
has been a great asset to the office ever since!

Gayla is married to Jon Forbes and they have two sons, one 23 and one 19 years old. Her oldest son currently works in New Jersey for an online publication. Her younger son attends De Anza College with plans to transfer to a college in North
Carolina early in 2010. Jon, her husband is also a nurse, has worked at El Camino Hospital for 24 years.
