Botox is an FDA approved (2002) cosmetic treatment for fine lines and wrinkles. It is a non-surgical process performed in the doctor’s office with minimal discomfort and downtime.

The process entails several tiny injections of BOTOX placed directly into the muscles that cause the frown lines or wrinkles. It works by relaxing the facial muscles that create wrinkles, leaving smoother skin and eliminating lines. While no anesthesia is required, the area is treated with a cold pack or anesthetic cream.

You will see improvements within days and may continue for as long as a month. Treatment results will vary, but will usually last between 4‐6 months.

Botox is also very effective for moderate to severe underarm sweating, as well as with other health and cosmetic problems. Please consult with Dr. Jhin and her staff for additional applications.

Facial fillers are an ideal treatment for correcting by products of aging-loss of skin elasticity and volume that can result in wrinkles and folds. There are many types of fillers available; Dr Jhin and her staff will discuss the options and help you choose the filler that may work best for your skin type and needs.

Fillers work by adding volume to the injected area to restore a healthy, natural look. Fillers are placed into the depth of facial folds and wrinkles; upon injection, fillers will immediately add volume to safely add natural contours to the face and beautify facial features.

Fillers are most commonly used in smile lines, or nasolabial fold (the creases that run from the bottom of your nose to the corners of your mouth), on the cheeks to address sagging cheekbones, on the face to correct the signs of facial fat loss and on the lips to restore fullness and enhance the appearance of the lips.

In addition, acne, chicken pox and other depressed scars can be improved with filler treatments.

The injection process takes about 15 to 30 minutes, results are immediate and last approximately six months to a year depending on the filler.

Sclerotherapy is the primary treatment procedure to eliminate varicose veins and spider veins. Sclerotherapy involves an injection of a solution directly into the vein- irritating the lining of the blood vessel, causing it to swell and stick together, and the blood to clot. Over a period of weeks, the vessel turns into scar tissue that fades, eventually becoming barely noticeable. After several treatments, most patients can expect an 80 ‐ 90 percent improvement.

There are minimal side effects of Sclerotherapy, such as itching, which can last for one or two days after the procedure. You may also experience raised, red areas at the injection site, which should disappear within a few days. Bruising may also occur around the injection side and can last several days or weeks.

Sclerotherapy is a well‐proven procedure and has been in use since the 1930s.

Keratosis or Skin Tags are benign, non‐cancerous growths of the outer layer of skin. They tend to appear in midlife, and may be an inherited condition; they are commonly found on the neck, arms, and trunk, but may appear elsewhere on the body, as well.

Skin Tags / Benign Keratosis / Angiomas are easily removed and takes a few minutes. Topical or local anesthetic may be used.

Moles can appear anywhere on the skin and benign moles (Dr. Jhin can perform a medical mole check to review all moles and determine if they are benign), while harmless, can be irritating or unattractive.

The most common methods of removal include numbing the spot and then shaving the mole off, or for some moles, cutting out the entire lesion and stitching the area closed.

Laser Hair Removal uses a visible light laser to gently remove unwanted hair. Unwanted facial and body hair can be easily removed for all patients regardless of skin and hair color. The procedure involves laser‐focused beams of concentrated light that penetrate through the outer layers of skin directly into the hair follicles below. The laser light transforms into heat which effectively destroys the follicle. Once the hair follicles in the treatment area are disabled, Permanent Laser Hair Removal will significantly impede hair growth.

Laser technology allows us to treat more than one hair at a time, as result, we can treat larger areas such as the back, shoulders, arms, legs and face. Laser treatments leave your skin looking and feeling smoother and silkier. Best of all, Laser Hair Removal treatments are a safe, fast, gentle, and effective method for hair removal.
